Who publishes this site?
Matelacom Money is published by Matelacom Inc., an Ontario company that builds practical digital products and technology solutions. The Money site combines editorial explainers with free calculators designed for real Canadian decisions.
Our editorial purpose
Our goal is to help a reader understand a rule, see the assumptions behind an estimate and know where to verify the important details. We do not try to replace the CRA, a tax professional or a licensed financial adviser.
How guides are researched
For tax limits, government benefits and regulated programs, we prioritize primary sources such as the Canada Revenue Agency, Department of Finance Canada, the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, the Bank of Canada and provincial government websites.
Each guide identifies its publication or review date and includes direct source links for material figures. When an exact future date or amount has not been officially announced, we say so instead of presenting an estimate as confirmed.
How calculators are handled
Calculators are educational models. They simplify reality and cannot account for every credit, deduction, benefit, fee or personal circumstance. We explain the tool’s purpose, avoid describing an estimate as guaranteed and encourage users to confirm important decisions independently.
Corrections and updates
If an official source changes or we identify a meaningful error, we update the affected guide or calculator and change its review date. To report an issue, email info@matelacom.ca with the page address and the detail that needs review.
Advertising and independence
At launch, Matelacom Money does not include paid product rankings, sponsored recommendations or referral placements in its guides. If advertising or sponsored content is introduced later, it will be identified and will not change calculator formulas or factual conclusions.
What this site is not
Matelacom Money does not provide individualized tax, legal, investment or financial advice. A guide or calculator result should be treated as a starting point for further verification—not a direction to buy, sell, contribute or borrow.
